Custom Manufacturing: From Concept To Production

Custom Manufacturing: From Concept To Production

Some of the best components we make started as a frustration — a part that keeps failing, a machine that has no proper guard, or a problem the market simply does not have an off-the-shelf answer for. Custom manufacturing turns that frustration into a solution, and we run the whole journey in-house.

How a custom part comes together

Bringing a component from an idea to a production run is a series of deliberate steps, and staying involved at each one is what keeps the end result right.

  • Concept and design: understanding the problem, the fitment and the operating conditions
  • Material selection: matching an engineering thermoplastic or urethane to the demands of the job
  • Tooling: significant design input so the tool produces a part that performs and runs cleanly
  • Production: runs from several hundred units to millions, made to a consistent standard

Doing it all under one roof at Currumbin means the people who design the part talk directly to the people who tool and mould it. Nothing gets lost in the handover, and problems get solved before they reach production.

The parts we are proudest of are the ones that fix a problem nobody else was willing to tackle.

If you have a component that could work better — or one that does not exist yet — we would like to hear about it.

Spot on. The breakdown of OEM versus aftermarket parts helped us make the right call for our fleet without blowing the budget.
